Gautam Shrikhande, MD, CEO

As CEO of Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine, Gautam is focused on delivering better care to patients with chronic pelvic pain with coordinated clinical care and the highest levels of service and quality. In addition, he focuses on raising patient and physician awareness via multiples avenues to deliver care to this undiagnosed and undertreated patient population. He is board certified in both general and vascular surgery. He performed his general surgical training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston MA and performed his vascular surgical training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College, Columbia University-College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, NY. After completion of his training, Dr. Shrikhande has worked as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at both Columbia University-College of Physicians and Surgeons and at New York Presbyterian, Queens.  Also, he has served as the Medical Director of Surgery for the New York Presbyterian Medical Group, Queens.

As part of his previous roles, he has helped practices integrate new EMR/EHR systems, develop patient satisfaction strategies, and work with various revenue cycle and coding specialists to optimize practice values and reimbursements. In addition, he has served in roles dealing with surgical cost management, utilization review, quality assurance, and medical protocol development of medical/surgical practices. He has over 35 peer-reviewed journal articles.

In addition to his clinical experience, he has spent time working in healthcare private equity. He served as the Regional Medical Director in the Northeast for a portfolio company of Waud Capital Partners. In his role, he developed multiple outpatient vascular centers in the tri-state region. He was actively involved in sales and marketing and strategically executed a program to facilitate rapid growth of outpatient facilities.
